As excited as I am to have been cast as the loyal sidekick, I think I would make the perfect Salahaddin. My grandfather once told me that our family has some Turkish blood in it. And there are lots of Kurds in Turkey. And Salahaddin was Kurdish. Hence, I am probably related to Salahiddin and would therefore be the best person to portray him in a motion picture.

Chan'ad...Salahildin is old!!! i'm not casting u i'm afraid :) i was thinking more on the lines of Abdulwahab Hussain...he has that aura, no?

M... thats not in the storyline :p

i'm in such a bad mood, if u cudn't tell, ditzy me lost my credit card and mobile today... i'm adament not to get a replacement..as a test to see how long i can survive!!

Hey, that's an opportune moment for losing your phone, but not your card, considering the pending release of the Nokia N91, but you would need your card (seriously!) to buy one!

Well... sometimes things disappear and magically show-up again. In the meantime, i'll go through every single pair of jeans, look in every nook and cranny, call the bank to cancel the card... thats another day wasted...

how long do I have to wait for the N91?? i'm not much of a gadgety person and and as for the Ipod fad thats going around... i much prefer the sound of silence, or birds on a tree, the ruffling of leaves, and conversations around me... and of course the voices in my head... i think i'll give the N91 a miss...although with 4GB of space and camera... oh i dunno... its too much to think about...

Odd...i don't know how i do it either... i blame bad feng shui in my surrounding environment..but thats the topic of another post.. all those contact numbers, messages, pictures...oh well... i hope they dont get abused by whoever finds it

end of the year... and I can't wait! phones like this do come in handy, like posting from the train, party or even a hospital bed! (god forbid)

I've gone through a lot (read an awful lot) of gadgets looking for the ultimate "thing" that would help me organise my life, but have not found anything that would satisfy other than a pad and pen! I'll still buy the N91 though and the one after that just to satisfy my curiousity.

The iPod I'm using continuously in the car and the gym. I'm going to buy an iShuffle next week I think because.. well, just because. I wouldn't use either in the garden for instance or when chatting to friends, like you, I much prefer analogue sounds then.

The next gadget YOU should purchase is a "key finder" where you attach that remote beeper on your phones and wallets, click the remote whenever you once again lose something and you'll be safe.. as long as you don't lose the remote that is!

That remote control device sounds like just what i need!!! Something I did try was attaching a long key chain around my neck, with usb's, mobile, keys hanging...it did help...until i misplace the whole bundle...

well, the ending to today's fiasco, was that the mobile was handed into Lost property and I got it back...but the credit card was stolen LAST SATURDAY!!!!!!!! and i only noticed last night... I called the bank up and they blocked the card, some cow used it on some shopping spree...

regarding Flickr, it's just a very convenient album, that's all. you need to go out and take pictures in order to populate it and share what your eyes see.

BBN re "imate JAM", the only problem with it as far as I'm concerned is its OS! I won't have MS on my phone thanks very much, I have enough trouble with it on my office computers. Had the device come with Mac OSX, now that would be something... other than that, I'll stick with Symbian for the moment.

The advantage of having the N91 of course is that it is an all-in-one PIM and entertainment centre. By the time they release it in the ME, maybe the memory would increase as well or more features will be added, like Bahrania-proof-anti-loss device where she can whistle and it'll obediently jump up and down and wave it's little antenae as well as emit laser lights in 3 directions (x, y and z) for her to find it!

Smells fishy, or is it me being skeptical? makes u wonder how this revenue was spent in the past...what about the remaining 70million?

BD392M BUDGET EXTRA!

MANAMA

Bapco is to pump BD392 million into the nation's coffers, thanks to bumper oil prices.

The national budget will now include revenue from Bapco of BD196m each for this year and next, it was announced yesterday.

This is several times the original conservative estimates, said Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

He was speaking at a Press conference following a meeting with parliament's financial and economic affairs committee chairman Jehad Bukamal.

This followed a disagreement over the figures, when the government listed in the budget Bapco's estimated revenue for this year at BD44m, while the committee said it should be BD260m.

It was agreed yesterday to list the revenue as BD196m each for this year and next.
