Bahrain Blog Awards 2004
Homer over in Bahraini blog, thought he'd stir up a bit of controversy, and launch the first ever Bahrain Blog Awards 2004. In the spirit of things, get over there and start ticking the boxes. Up for grabs is a Tree of Life Award for best overall blog, Bahrain fort award for the best political blog, Ain Adhari Award for best daily blog, Alja7eth award for funniest blog, and Most notable commenter. Like Keith Barrat says, its just a bit of fun. Here's my pitch (tongue in cheek); Bahrania's predictions for things that WON'T happen in 2005 :
- Chan'ad missing out on any action by staying at home and avoiding arrest
- Strav winning the lottery, ending his penny-pinching ways and getting some English lessons
- Homer getting any applicants for his desperately needed vacancy
- Mahmood repenting and joining any islamic society
- Scorpio getting prosecuted on charges of stalking Bahrania
- cracks forming in DIB's nicer than nice persona
- Sume's muslim feminist movement ceasing
- Bahrania's sense of humour getting any worse
If gambling wasn't haram I would've put money down on it.
Group hug everyone...luv ya really ;)

LOL! You've outdone yourself with this one. That's gender-equality-advocate to you madame. ;) ;) ;)
lool bahrania you forget to add this about scorpio: sad middle aged man that hasnt got alife and is very uneducated who presumes if u support al wafaq your a muslim fundamentalist. Who i actually think has a crush on you..as he torments you persistently in most of the blogs.. how about scorpio the weasel ;)kinda suits him huh?
:)
But you forgot:
Scorpio joins Al-Wefaq, or better, he goes back to London and joins Hizb ut Tahrir.
Strav picks up a hijabi, or a guy even.
Bahrania doesn't change her alias and blog name every 2 weeks.
I've been a member of an Islamic society all my life. It's called Bahrain.
As for repenting, don't paint me as an unbeliever please, even in jest. This is highly unfair, but I wouldn't say uncharacteristic of you.
Aaaaw I never understand why my jokes never go down too well :)
sorry for ruffling your feathers guys, but at least I was unfair on everyone in an equal way :) although Chan'ad got off easily!
oh I see.. if Bahrainia screws up, it's a joke, if someone else makes a joke, she deletes the comment.
Very nice.
Yes Mr Mahmoud, thats why it is Bahrania's blogspace. By the way since were predicting, one thing i dont see happening in 2005 is Bahrania buying that cookbook.
Changaize
Mahmood, I don't think anyone in their right mind would see you as an unbeliever. You're good-natured soul completely discredits that in every way. That thought never crossed my mind by reading what Bahrainia posted. I truly don't think she intended it that way.
Butting out now.
Hey Scorpio, Sorry to disappoint you but the earlier comment is not mine. Seems like someone out there shares my original views. Also have no idea about the Al-Wefaq????

Chanad: I'm not gay for you to say i'll pick up a guy... yes i'm into chicks with hijabs - more like chicks with shaala's bedouin style....either way... i'm not into dudes!
Bahraniat: how much is it to be an Al Wefaq excutive member? & do u folks have any tea parties & spa benefits?
